I have two of these for when we fly, one for my wife and one for me. I do recommend them and like them very much. Please know it is an e-Reader not much more. Yes it plays mp3’s, mp4 video’etc. But don’t buy it for anything but a nice e-Reader or you will be disappointed. Why? The CPU is a single core 800mhz. Yes it has WiFi and you can run the Dolphin web browser & e-mail.

But here is why I like it. It weighs about ½ what an iPad weights. Mine is just over 350 grams. The battery is about 6 hrs on a full charge with WiFi off and you can run it with black background and white text for night time reading. It comes stock with Barns & Nobles e-Reader software that I think works the best.

If you want to get the best price, I mean under $70 after cash back, start with my eBates link below. We both get $5 when you setup an account and make a purchase.

eBates cash back site

Next step is search for Kmart and click shop. With this you will get 6% cash back + your $5 bonus (or $10 B&N card if you want that – I like cash).

Next step at Kmart search for Pandigital and you will see the Pandigital 7″ Android Multimedia Tablet and Color eReader – R70F200

I would place the order online (for in store PICK UP – pick your local store)  and then print your receipt and go pickup at your local store. Also this way you can return it if you don’t like it as much as I do! I would act fast as it is out of stock around my area already.

So there you are – if you want a very light weight 7″ color eReader – look at this one. – Rene

  1. Sir — I’m happy for you that you have so many well-meaning people like myself reading your blog. But the instructions you gave were not helpful to me. I followed them. K-Mart told me that I couldn’t buy the item online, but found it at a store about 5 miles away. I went there today, and they had not held the item for me, as Ebates had said they would. So, I just bought it outright at the store, and hoped that Ebates would honor their last instruction to me that I “had nothing more to do” but get the credit onlline. I was confused by the whole transaction and wrote Ebates, and they have written back that, in order to get the Ebate, I had to PRINT OUT THE ONLNE RECEIPT and bring it to the store with me. So, I’m out of the discount. Please be explicit with your readers about ways they can save money in the future. I like your blog though, so I’m not dissing you for this.
