overnight dtw to dfw via slc

Folks are am REALLY trying to hit all the hubs with some decent year end runs. ATL is making me crazy. I am searching high and low, coach and biz, and best I am finding is around 10CPM and that is just not OK. I want to be, as stated before, around 4CPM weekdays, 5CPM weekends in coach and target 8CPM weekdays in biz and 10CPM weekends in biz.

For now the folks in DTW get to also have a shot at the fun in Dallas. I am only finding two dates that have what I am looking for as you see above connecting via SLC both ways for max MQMs and lowest CPM. Yes it is an overnight but why not as talked about in the runs for MSP and NYC yesterday!

Anyway here are the numbers I found:

Cost $228

4,938 MQMs at 4.6CPM

Bookable on Delta.com via SLC x2

ALERT: Price DROP to $193 and 3.9CPM on 10/10/15 : http://www.kayak.com/flights/DTW-SLC/2015-11-13/SLC-DFW/2015-11-13/DFW-slc/2015-11-14/slc-dtw/2015-11-14

dtw to dfw price drop

Now do keep in mind, once we start getting over the 4.5CPM range, you should look at either the personal or business Delta Reserve cards as both for the $450 fee give you 10,000 MQMs with 1st dollar spent (plus all the other perks with the card as well). You don not have leave home to do this (I guess you could order a pizza with card right)! Just keep that in mind as well. – Rene

  1. Admire your dedication Rene, but you must really be the last guy left doing mileage runs;-) Is there anyone else still interested in wasting their life flying to places no one wants to see in order to rack up FF miles?

    • @Stephan – It is NOT all about FF miles. No one does a run EVER anymore for those. Now for elite points, that is another matter. Once you are DM or PM it is hard not to ever be so again. Plus, I like flying. It seems a bunch of other folks do as well. I like Centurion lounge visits and BBQ. I like many other spots my “Fun Runs” take me. I also like getting HUGE bumps. On my run to MIA to visit the MIA Centurion I scored $2600 in vouchers on a few bumps on a $400 RT ticket 🙂 So maybe not really “wasting my life” as you say.
