Ah, Daytona Beach. The sun, surf, beaches — and a crazy driver who thought it was a good idea to charge through a barricade and try to cross a draw bridge that was parting for a boat.

    Maybe he was trying to emulate the bus driver who was forced (through no fault of his own) to jump his bus over the gap as Tower Bridge was opening, back in the 1950s. True story.
